Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 21

Thank you for funding this grant! My students love using sand, gel boards and the abc soup cans to learn proper letter formation and their letters/sounds. They also enjoy the books that focus on the weekly letter. Here are a few pictures of the students using these tactile tools. They absolutely love it and they are always engaged in their learning!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

My goal is to gather a variety of materials that can be used for multi-sensory lessons. Research shows that when students use a visual, auditory, and sensory approach, they are able to convert what they are learning to their long term memory.

What will be done with my students

My students will be taught reading and writing through a multi-sensory approach. These students are students who have been identified with learning difficulties, with social emotional needs, and students who struggle with engagement and remaining on task.

Benefits to my students

Through engagement, and using a multi-sensory approach, students will convert what they are learning to long term memory.

Budget Narrative

All of these materials are reusable, and will helps students make reading and writing more interactive.
