Original Grant Overview

Goal

To provide students more options to build products and allow their products to look more professional for marketplace day.

What will be done with my students

During the course of the semester, students develop a product idea, create a business plan, market and advertise their product/business throughout the school. They will then sell their products at school in December. The goal of this class is to provide students with the opportunity to learn how to start a business.

Benefits to my students

The cricut device will allow students another tool to develop their products. Currently students have to do everything by hand and this device will allow them to build and cut various materials in a professional manor to enhance their product and generate more student/staff interest.

Budget Narrative

The Cricut Maker has the ability to cut several different materials including paper, vinyl, balsawood, sticker paper and faux leather. It can also cut stencil material so students would be able to make a stencil that they could use to paint onto other materials.
