Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 144

My 6th grade historians have had a wonderful year exploring the ancient civilizations from Mesopotamia through Early Americas.

The programs we used were indiividualized and students could learn at their own pace Nearpod Virtual Fieldtrips.

Brainpop really reinforced the lessons being taught in a fun engaging environment.

 

The headphones allowed students to listen in their native languages, as well as learning English by using the subtitles and vice-versa.

 

Students could listen and repeat lessons at their own pace.  

 

Thank you so much for enhancing and enriching my classroom with your generous grant.  We were really able to bring history to life!

Original Grant Overview

Goal(s)

My goal this year is to travel back to all of the ancient civilizations using Nearpod and Brainpop to allow my students to connect and experience virtual field trips. 

 

Project Description

6th grade students education will be enhanced and connect with our curriculum- this will be an excellent introduction to provide background knowledge and real life experiences.
We can visit Ancient Rome- while visiting Ancient Rome virtually. 

 

Expected Outcomes

My students will be so motivated to learn and dig deeper in their lessons. The visual experience and vocabulary will really help students to be successful in World History and make connections to oher subjects especiall ELA for reading and writing. 

 

Purpose of Funding

I am requesting for 627 for these two excellent programs that will help all students engage and excel in World History Ancient Civilizations this year.
