Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 90

We have had so much fun being able to utilize storyboards on Storyboard That to create projects, summarize our library books, create webs, and design our own graphic novels through the interactive storyboard program Storyboard That.  This program has helped us grow in not only reading but writing as well.  It's not only helped us show growth in those areas, but it's also been done in a fun and interactive way to help us learn.  We have had the oppotunity to share our storyboards with our classmates, peers, and families.  In addition to our new program, our new laptop cart is amazing.  It helps us stay organized and allows us to always keep our devices charged in a neat and organized way.  No more wasted time spending hours trying to get all of our chargers plugged in and untagled.  This cart has been a lifesaver.  We have also had the opportunity to use the digital writing program: Top Score Writing.  What a difference this program has made on writing in fourth grade.  Writing is a very difficult subject in fourth grade and with little to no curriculum, it's hard to teach and help students prepare for their writing state test that they have to take.  This has made it easy for students to learn all the components of writing a 5-paragraph essay.  I can't wait to see how much more they improve by the end of the year.

Thank you so much for your wonderful gift!  This has helped not only Ms. Fitz's fourth grade class, but all of the fourth grade classes at Golden Terrace Elementary!  We can't thank you enough! :)

In addition, students will use the laptop cart to keep their devices charged.
