Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 130

The organizers had a great impact on these young entrepreneurs.  They were used everytime they came to class and they helped keep their information and paperwork together while giving them the ease of mind that no other group would be going through their things.  The table organizers were utilized by every table throughout the year.  They used the contents to help with assignments throughout the year including their final products that they sold at our Pop-Up Market.  These supplies were a great help to the inaugural year of our elementary entrepreneurship program.

Original Grant Overview

Goal

The goal for this classroom grant is to organize my 5th grade entrepreneurs. Being organized will help these students be successful from the start of their journey to becoming young entrepreneurs.

What will be done with my students

There are two organizers and supplies that will keep these students organized. The first will be an organizer for each group of entrepreneurs (approx. 30 groups). This will also have a notebook for each group for their product notes. It will also include pencils and rulers and any other items that the group may need to store something for their product. These are specific to group and only those group members will use them. The second organizer is for each table and will be used per table so multiple groups will be using them. These organizers are a box that latches and will contain colored pencils, timers, colored sharpies, scissors and glue sticks. These supplies are some of the supplies that could be used to design, develop and produce their products throughout the year.

Benefits to my students

Being organized is important to being successful as an entrepreneur. By being organize the students will feel less stressed and more confident that they are able to design, develop and produce their products. Ultimately being organized will bring them confidence which in turn shows the students that they can be entrepreneurs.

Budget Narrative

Each group of entrepreneurs (approx. 30) will have a 12 x 12 storage box that will contain a group notebook, pencils, and ruler. The second box will be shared among classes and will be on each table which will seat one group of entrepreneurs. These table kits will include the storage box, colored pencils, kitchen timer, a pack of colored sharpies, scissors, and glue sticks.
