Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 97

We would not have been able to complete this project without your generous donation.  Having access to these tools so early in the process really helped us be able to incorporate the materials into building our businesses.  The early access allowed the students the ability to practice their skills early and they were able to use the materials to build the inventory for the Entrepreneurial program. The students have been giving up their recess time to come to my classroom to build their products for the Marketplace.  I am very proud of their initiative.   We were able to work ahead because of your kind and generous donation.

Original Grant Overview

Goal

This year my 5th grade students will be participating in an entrepreneurial program. They will need create products to sell during the school hosted marketplace. I would like to provide a wide range of materials to choose from during product development.

What will be done with my students

Students will be creating products to sell during the school held marketplace. They will be required to use recycled or repurposed materials, but they can also incorporate other materials into their products. This grant will help to purchase supplemental materials to help in this process.

Benefits to my students

The creative process of developing ideas and products will help stimulate a student’s natural curiosity and imagination. Creativity and problem solving will be fundamental throughout this process. This project will also encourage communication, socialization and teamwork.
