Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 300

The materials in this grant make the Bobcat Boutique possible.  Every year we need to replenish it and we are extremely grateful for it.  The students learn to create new things each year and they keep the classics in stock too.  It has taught them so much and has in my opinion really helped with the launch of entrepreneurship program in fifth grade.  The Bobcat Boutique has become the school store while at the same time help raise funds for the materials needed throughout the year.  That is a win-win for our school.

Original Grant Overview

Goal

My goal is to continue with Cricut Entrepreneurship Club, named Bobcat Boutique at Eden Park. This club allows the students to create, make and market their products throughout the school and beyond.

What will be done with my students

The students will learn to use the Cricut machine and software to create their image, and make the vinyl that will go on the final product. They can work with items such as bags, cups, shirts, etc.. They will determine which material is correct, what colors to use, how much material, and cost for each item. Once that is complete they will market it to be sold.

Benefits to my students

The kids in the club will learn what it costs to run a "shop". They will have to create designs that will work, are reasonable in cost and determine how much to sell it for. The profits would be used to buy more materials to continue working on in the club, raise money for end of year trips, and to learn to give back to the community with Cricut for a Cause. In Immokalee we are fortunate to have so much support and help for our students, this will teach them to give back.

Budget Narrative

We do NOT need the Cricut Machine, just supplies to get continue with the club.
