Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 23

Student enjoy working on our Nugget couch throughout the day independently or with partners. The Nugget allows for a comfortable, alternative, movable work environment while still completing assignments. My class has enjoyed moving the Nugget around the room and creating many different structures to work on or in! This is a sought-after place in our classroom, as soon as I say we are going to work around the room, I have hands going up asking “Can we please work on the Nugget?”. We have enjoyed having this new addition to our classroom and it gets used all the time!

Goal(s)

To provide my learners with a comfortable flexible seating option in the classroom to meet their learning styles.  

 

Project Description

Throughout the day students are working around the room to complete work in all subject areas. Providing my students with a comfortable learning environment will give them an alternative space in the classroom where they can work independently and collaboratively. This Nugget couch is flexible and can be moved throughout the room and its shape can also be changed to meet the needs of my learners.  

 

Expected Outcomes

Having a variety of seating options will support the process of teamwork, communication, collaboration and having fun! This piece of furniture will help open doors for my students to learn comfortably and collaboratively. 

 

Purpose of Funding

The total amount includes one nugget couch, tax and complimentary shipping.
