Original Grant Overview
Goal
My goal is to provide each of my students with a wireless mouse to go with their district provided laptops.
What will be done with my students
Each of my students will be provided with a wireless mouse to go with their laptops from the district. The change since last year in Covid times has made much of the schoolwork to be completed using technology. With a wireless mouse, the students will be able to complete their schoolwork and use the functions of the computer easier than without the mouse.
Benefits to my students
Each student will receive a laptop from the district. This started last year, due to Covid. I had noticed that students struggled to use the touchpad mouse installed on the laptop itself. They couldn't scroll properly, would sometimes click the incorrect button, and it hindered their ability to highlight and use other functions in different programs. Not having a mouse made students take a longer amount of time to complete work on their computers. If each student receives a wireless mouse, it will enable the student to work more efficiently and easily on technology.
Budget Narrative
The budget will include a wireless mouse for each of the 25 students, as well as batteries to enable the mouse to work. There will be no shipping fee as the materials will be purchased on Amazon.
