Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 300

The maker stations have been a life saver.  My classroom has no storage so it has been interesting to organize all the materials we use throughout the year.   With the storage provided with the maker stations, the students know where to get and place the materials.  It is organized and allows the class to look neat.  As an added bonus it provides additional workspace for them when working on projects.   This was one of the most needed items for my class, thank you funding it and making my class a little less chaotic!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

I would like to create Maker stations in my class. This will allow the students to create and build. These stations will have all supplies readily available and have the surface to build / create right there.

What will be done with my students

My students will easily be able to do a variety of activities legos, play-doh, circuits, robotics, etc.) These Maker stations will have all supplies / materials needed at their finger tips. My classroom has no storage and this will allow for them to know where everything is and be ready to work.

Benefits to my students

Due to the nature of my class I have no storage. I have things in boxes / tubs. When they go to find things it takes time to locate. I have the students once a week for 50 minutes. This will allow more time on task and less time getting materials ready.
