Original Grant Overview
Goal
The goal is to teach my students and many more in my future years of teaching about important character traits that teach them the meaning of each trait and the importance of how they build good character.
What will be done with my students
Every two to three weeks I will be focusing on one of the character traits. There are worksheets and literature that will go along with this package to reinforce their meanings. I will also be using KAGAN strategies where they interact with one another to make sure they all have 100% understanding of that character trait and what are examples of it.
Benefits to my students
These in depth character building activities and books will build positive role models and hopefully it will be contagious among their peers and I can get their teachers involved and talk more about how we can get our students and ourselves on a positive mindset.
Budget Narrative
This includes the character building set and the books that will be used for each of the lessons. Also, it includes the Splatter Character Poster which shows other classes who walk down the hallway of how we/they can show that character trait in their classroom or even outside their classroom.
