The fourth grade loves the SSYRA books! Our student's reading comprehension and fluency have greatly improved with the reading of these particular set of books. We cannot thank you enough for supporting our reading adventures with these award winning books.

Original Grant Overview

Goal(s)

My goal is to have my students read as many of the 2020-2021 Sunshine State Young Reader Award books as possible.

Project Description

The Sunshine State Young Reader Award (SSYRA) books will be made available to all of our fourth grade students so they can read as many of the books as possible. We will have 2 sets of books in the classroom so they're available to all fourth graders.

Expected Outcomes

As students read the SSYRA books their reading comprehension and fluency will greatly improve. The fifteen books cover different topics and the students will be able to make connections to some of the stories they read.

Purpose of Funding

These books will be made available to all of the 4th grade students.
