Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 500

Bobcat Boutique has become an exciting part of the school.  The kids are able to get personalized items.  They have even been able to make rewards for math, ,reading, and typing success.   The Bobcat Boutique has allowed the students to see designs and ideas come to life.  Their word of choice when working with the vinyl is "This is so satisfying."  They see an idea on the computer screen,  watch it get cut out on the Cricut, and when they get to weed/remove the excess vinyl and the image comes through, is such a happy feeling for me.  THey really saw the creation transform in front of their eyes!  THANK YOU for allowing me to do that with them!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

My goal is to continue to offer the Bobcat Boutique Experience to my students. Grades 2nd-5th are able to participate and learn about the entrepreneurship process. Supplies are needed to start off the year, to generate funds to continue to run the store and donate to cause.

What will be done with my students

The students will be able to design and create designs and have them come to life. They will be able to design from school or virtually thanks to the Cricut Design Space. The software allows them to create and share their work. They will need to determine in these times what will "sell" and what is correct pricing and determine if it is profitable and document sales through excel. With certain requirements for school for this year, we will offer personalized reusable masks, cups to refill at water fountains, and stickers for encouragement. Students will also choose a cause to donate to. They will choose a worthy cause and raise funds and donate.

Benefits to my students

Students will learn the entrepreneurship process. How to calculate profits and how to list cost and sales in the excel program. These are real life skills that the students need and can start learning and applying at a young age. This is the 3rd year of Bobcat Boutique and it has been very beneficial for the students of Eden Park.
