Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 735

We were able to get our QBall Microphone ordered and set up in time to use before we broke for spring break. All grades Kindergarten through fifth grade were able to use the QBall Microphone with ease and enjoyed being able to be heard. It has already made a significant difference in our classroom. Students are more eager to share their thoughts and ideas because they are so excited to catch and throw something in the classroom. Another amazing benefit that we all appreciate from the use of the QBall Microphone is that we can better hear what everyone must share. The classroom is large, and the kids are spread out with the classroom arrangement, so it is so helpful to be able to amplify student voice.

Goal(s)

To provide every student with a strong voice to share their creativity and curiosity.  

 

Project Description

The QBall Microphone will be used to provide students with the opportunity to share their voice with the class quickly and effectively, by allowing me to quickly toss the microphone to any student that is ready to share no matter what their proximity is to the teacher.  

 

Expected Outcomes

The microphone will allow student responses to be quicker and louder to keep up the instructional pace of the classroom. Also the use of a ball will aid in adding a kinesthetic piece to instruction that will help fill that need for certain students. Another benefit to using the QBall is that this microphone is engaging to students and will increase student focus and attention.
