Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 500

Thanks to your initial donation to the Bobcat Boutique it has grown and become a big part of technology class at Eden Park Elementary.  It has without realizing it become a great motivational tool.  They are always eager to see what is new, what can be done with it, and always wonder how they can be a part of it. The supplies that were purchased with this grant, allowed have allowed us to continue providing that for the students.  It has grown so much that the art teacher and I will be creating a Digital Design team next year, to really teach and involve the students in the design process.  They will be able to apply their skills to the cricut and 3D printer at Eden Park.

I apologize I currently don’t have any pictures, we were not counting on being out of school.  If we return and are able to work with the kids I will upload pictures.  There are plenty on Twitter and I know we try to tag you in several so you can see all the great things that are made possible thanks to your generous donations.

Thank you again !

Original Grant Overview

Goal

My goal is to continue with Cricut Entrepreneurship Club, named Bobcat Boutique at Eden Park. This club allows the students to create, make and market their products throughout the school and beyond.

What will be done with my students

The students will learn to use the Cricut machine and software to create their image, and make the vinyl that will go on the final product. They can work with items such as bags, cups, shirts, etc.. They will determine which material is correct, what colors to use, how much material, and cost for each item. Once that is complete they will market it to be sold.

Benefits to my students

The kids in the club will learn what it costs to run a "shop". They will have to create designs that will work, are reasonable in cost and determine how much to sell it for. The profits would be used to buy more materials to continue working on in the club, raise money for end of year trips, and to learn to give back to the community with Cricut for a Cause. In Immokalee we are fortunate to have so much support and help for our students, this will teach them to give back.

Budget Narrative

We do NOT need the Cricut Machine, just supplies to get continue with the club.
