Goal

Students learn best when actively engaged. Science, math, technology and art are very engaging and help students learn and record the scientific process. I will use science materials, books and kits to design science experiences for my team of seven teachers to implement. 

What will be done with my students

I will use the materials and our science standards of discovering the world around us by using our senses to develop weekly engaging lessons to help my class and the other classes learn the scientific process. They will use math and art to record their findings. For example I will use the magnifying glasses to have students observe the changes created in the simple experiments listed in the books purchased. By providing the materials and the lessons all the kindergarten students at VME can benefit.  

Benefits to my students

Students learn science best in a hands-on method. With magnifying glasses, magnets, science kits and experiment books I will be able to create amazing lessons. The students will be so excited to learn science standards and record their finding with art by drawing or painting. 

Budget Narrative

All the materials will be shared with 7 kindergarten teachers. Most materials and lessons I will create are not consumable and can be re-used for several years.
