Goal

The goal of this project is to provide an area within the classroom where students can explore creativity through literacy, science, and math manipulatives.  

What will be done with my students

With the furniture provided the students will be able to comfortably read art books on the rug or bean bag chairs within a designated area . The shelving within the bean bag classroom set will provide space for science and math manipulatives for the students to use when they finish their projects early or celebrate their success.  

Benefits to my students

The benefit of this project is, over 680 students will be given a nurturing area within the art room where they can freely explore different ways to express themselves in art. After students finish their assignment early or celebrate success they will have a special place to forward to. This project will provide every students a designated environment within my classroom where reading, math, and science are integrated and will allow them to explore multiple subject areas at their leisure. I currently have a large blank area in my room, library of art books, and math games to provide for my students however, I lack the furniture to store these items and comfortable chairs for them to sit on. As their art teacher, please help me provide my students with a more nurturing STEAM driven environment for the new school year  

Budget Narrative

This budget is for an entire furniture set that include Shake It Up Rug 1 Round Bean Bag Chair x 4, Shapes Vinyl Soft Seating - S-Curve x 2, Curved Mobile Shelving (36" H) x 1, Curved Mobile Shelving (24" H) x 2
