Original Grant Overview
Goal
To integrate technology into the classroom while providing students self-paced modules for learning mathematics.
What will be done with my students
Students will be able to access lessons through the Nearpod app, as well as join any live teaching sessions. Once students have reviewed lessons, they can complete quizzes, homework assignments, or surveys, all through self-paced modules.
Benefits to my students
The Nearpod app allows for teachers to give students electronic access to learning materials, while they work at a pace that is comfortable for them. The Gold membership also allows for me to take students on a "virtual field trip" to further enhance their learning.
Through the Nearpod app, teachers can post presentations, quizzes, polls, and so much more! It allows for students to view their learning material and respond at their own pace. In a math setting, it allows for students to actually show their work using a drawing tool. It also allows for teachers to share resources with one another and use them as needed. Virtual field trips can be taken whenever the teacher feels it will enhance learning, and students are continually engaged in the program.
