Original Grant Overview
Goal
The goal is to have the kids verbally express their learning and how they got there. This is a difficult skill, being able to video it, with a green screen would make this more engaging to the students.
What will be done with my students
The students will record themselves. They can express their opinions, they can explain their logic. With the green screen there will be limitless possibilities for the students to engage and show their learning. For example, if they are learning about space, they can create their presentation, with space in the background. They can point their way through the solar system. If they wish to report their information they can do it like a newscast. The only limitation is their imagination.
Benefits to my students
Anytime you get a child to share their learning it is a win/win situation. You can check for understanding and they have a creative way to express themselves. Once the door is open to this type of learning, the potential for learning is immeasurable.
