Goal

I would like my students to continue to have access to this marvelous collection of musical resources and lessons. Having utilized Quaver’s “Beyond Marvelous Music Curriculum” for the past two years, I have seen how much they enjoy learning about music, and how much they retain. It is amazing how they look forward to seeing “Mr. Quaver”. 

What will be done with my students

Each of the 216 lessons, 1000 songs, assessments, 30 online Essentials (topics -Theory, Instruments and Ensembles, Composers and Music History, and Music Styles) are presented in a logical and entertaining manner. Quaver's QK-5 Curriculum is a comprehensive, customizable program, utilizing the latest technology and manipulatives in the music classroom! Each of the 216 fully-developed QK-5 lessons is a combination of teacher-led, interactive tools that have students keyed into the day's concepts from the second class begins. The students will be able to access Quaver on their mobile devices, computers at home or in the class room, to complete assignments, assessments and/or class projects. They will even be able to access it to create their own compositions. This curriculum adheres to and extends the common core standards being developed by NAfME and NCCAS. There are also connections to other school subjects, as well as connections to the skills of daily living. 

Benefits to my students

I have watched the enthusiasm and excitement on the students faces when we are using these interactive lessons. They absolutely love the hands on features presented to them each week. Whether it is a lesson in Music History or a lesson in Theory, it is amazing how much information they retain and how much they enjoy each lesson 

Budget Narrative

Renewal license includes 216 lessons, 1000+ songs from Class Play, 30 Online Videos with teacher guides and assessments, World Music, Bach’s Brain (enjoyable videos and quizzes about many composers) plus kids access to musical games, assessments and projects.
