Goal

This grant will provide essential classroom supplies that support students’ organizational skills, promote access to the curriculum, and facilitate individualized accommodations. Materials such as color-coded folders, headphones, storage bins, and adaptive tools will help create a structured and inclusive learning environment. These resources will not only enhance student independence and engagement but also ensure that learners with diverse needs can effectively access and participate in daily instruction.

What will be done with my students

With the support of this grant, students will engage in activities and routines designed to build strong organizational habits and support their individual learning needs. They will use tools such as planners, color-coded folders, and labeled bins to manage materials and assignments more effectively. These strategies will be embedded into classroom practices to foster self-management, reduce frustration, and increase academic participation for all learners. 

 

Benefits to my students

The grant-funded supplies will provide significant benefits to my students by fostering greater independence, improving organization, and enhancing their ability to access and engage with the curriculum. With structured systems in place, students will experience reduced stress and confusion, allowing them to focus more on learning rather than managing materials. Organizational tools will help students stay on track with assignments and deadlines, while accommodations will ensure that those with diverse learning needs receive the necessary support to succeed. Overall, these resources will contribute to students being successful in all classes by staying organized and having access to supplies needed to be successful in all classroom settings.  

 

Budget Narrative

Students will use supplies to organize notes; a calculator for geometry; headphones to have access to text-to-speech; binders and dividers for organization; pencils and paper for classwork and notes; clipboards to provide access to complete work around the classroom; and dry-erase markers for when using the whiteboard. These supplies will impact multiple classes per day. It will provide students with access to the supplies they need to be successful in their academics.
