Goal

To excite the minds of young learners with the latest in robotics and turbine engines creating STEAM powered learners.

What will be done with my students

Through hands on manipulation and learning the students will create personal robots and windmills. They will view the water cycle, energy and motion, and climate in an exciting format, bringing their science book and curriculum to life!

Benefits to my students

Research has shown hands-on science to be nothing short of a revolution in education, shifting from vocabulary and text to project based learning. Each student will have the opportunity to construct a salt water powered personal robot and a wind powered turbine generator. Students will benefit from "minds on" projects which is the best kind of education, especially in science!

Budget Narrative

Forty kits for each of two hands on learning projects.
