Original Grant Overview

Goal

To create a welcoming learning environment for all students.  

 

What will be done with my students

The "Zen Den" will help create a space in the classroom where students can retreat to while practicing social emotional goals such as, "How to Make Myself Feel Better", and "Know When to Take a Break". The learning carpet placed under the comfy seating and flex desk will create an environment for all students stay engaged in learning.  

 

Benefits to my students

Students will have a safe place in the classroom where they can retreat to for a calm down period while continuing to be engaged in the classroom.
