Impact to My Classroom

I was able to purchase a Gimkit premium account with my grant. This allowed me to have all of my students engaged in a fun, interactive, collaberative way of learning. My students began to request playing gimkit because they thought it was just a fun game. I liked it because it was a great way to see what concepts my students mastered and what they needed more work on and the students enjoyed it!

Students who I normally struggle to keep interested in the content were suddenly participating more than ever. Even on days when we were taking notes, students were paying attention so that they would be able to get questions correct when we played Gimkit.

Goal

The goal is to get students excited about learning.

What will be done with my students

I would like to purchase Gimkit Pro to boost student engagement in my classroom. My students will be practicing math problems all while they think they are playing a game. Gimkit takes teacher created questions and puts them into fun games that the kids enjoy. The year long subscription would allow my students to continue to enjoy learning all school year long.

Benefits to my students

My student will get to practice math in a fun relevant way that makes them actually excited to learn. I have been using the free trial for the last month and my students have loved it. They beg to play each week. This program will help the 130 students I teach be excited to learn and will let them get the practice and feedback they need in order to be successful.
