Goal

To provide students with the opportunity to utilize technology as an effort to support mastery of second grade standards within the classroom setting.  

What will be done with my students

iPads will be utilized daily by students in small group and/or independent settings as a tool to access district approved technology applications. The devices will serve as a technological approach to meet individualized academic needs. Students will have the ability to access district purchased or approved programs such as Compass Learning (Reading and Math), Zearn, Imagine Learning, and All in Learning to foster individual learning gains.
Our class will greatly benefit from more technology in the classroom. We will also be able to access teacher designated, standard based assignments to promote individual growth for each student.
 

Benefits to my students

The requested iPads will allow students better access to individual technology throughout the day for all subject areas of instruction with an emphasis on reading and math during small group center rotations.
Because of the individualized nature of the district purchased or approved programs such as Compass Learning and Zearn, all students will benefit from increased access to technology. My ultimate goal is to reach a 1:1 student/portable technology ratio.
