Goal

Learn the Spanish alphabet by the end of the school year.

What will be done with my students

As a dual program we incorporate Spanish on our curriculum and circle time is the most important time of the day. There is when we communicate with the children and there is where most of our curriculum take place. The students will seat during circle time and do multiple of activities on the rug such as point to a letter, recognize the letter and sound it in Spanish as well as in English, also play I spy and many more memory games.

Benefits to my students

By having the classroom rug, our students will not only be more open to understanding and appreciating differences, but they will also open to tolerance around normal biases.
19 children and 2 teachers will greatly benefit from this request plus our classroom will look more inviting and fun for our children.

Describe the Students

Garrison Jones Elementary is a Title 1 school, we have 19 beautiful, loving and happy children that love to have fun and learn. They make Mrs. Muthig and I love our job, they gave us joy and made every single minute of our days' worth it.
They are eager to learn and LOVE learning Spanish.
