Goal

We aim to increase their engagement and active participation in the classroom.

What will be done with my students

Students will be supported based on their individual learning styles. Each student has a diverse learning style, and some require alternative seating arrangements to optimize their learning experiences.

Benefits to my students

Not only are flexible seating options fun, but it helps build core strength, burns calories, and increases metabolism. The physical activity that is associated with a variety of seating arrangements allows students to be more alert and focused. There is also a link between higher academic performance and more on-task behavior.

Describe the Students

around 18% of our students are homeless (living in hotels, cars, shelters, etc). A majority of students are lower socioeconomic status. We have 23 students that are ESE, 11 on 504s, and many more in the works. These seats would be great for our students.
