Goal

25 of the 50 students attending will be funded by this grant. Students will be able to worry less about the cost of the field trip, and more about the experience itself.

What will be done with my students

Students will have an amazing opportunity to have a STEM lab at iFly, focusing on Physical Science Standards. The students will then be able to have an experience with the indoor skydiving simulator for a once in a lifetime opportunity to feel what it would be like to skydive.

Benefits to my students

This STEM experience at iFly will be something the students will remember for the rest of their lives. They will have the amazing opportunity to go all the way to Tampa and have a hands-on experience in physical science as we prepare for the 5th Grade Science State exam.

Describe the Students

The 5th Grade students at 74th Street Elementary School are extremely diverse. There are multiple students of white, black, and Hispanic origin. Multiple students in 5th Grade at 74th Street Elementary have 504's and Individualized Educational Plans.

Budget Narrative

It costs $25 per student to go on the field trip, and 50 students are attending. This grant is to fundraise for 25 of those students to make the cost less for the group as a whole.
