Goal

My goal is to provide my students with quality learning materials that meet their needs to move, play, and create.

What will be done with my students

With these materials, my students will be able to put their critical thinking skills to use by building, creating, and designing by participating in both open-ended play and structured activities.

Benefits to my students

Research shows that students who are engaged in learning that is designed with a multi-modal approach are more likely to understand and remember more of the critical content.

As technology becomes more prevalent in our schools, it is important to activate my students thinking while engaging them in 'offline' activities that can be applied to real-world scenarios including problem solving and collaborative planning.

These STEM materials will help my students across subject areas learn and grow as scholars.

Describe the Students

I teach in a Title I school within the 'Transformation Zone,' and my students experience a longer instructional day than most other schools in the district.

My classroom is made up of 21 students with varying skills and abilities. I have both neurotypical and neurodiverse students, with my class containing both ESE and Gifted children. All of my students receive free lunch.

Budget Narrative

The Price for all items except for the Nugget were obtained from Amazon and may vary depending on availability. The price obtained for the three Nuggets were obtained directly from the manufacturer. All item pricing contains the applicable taxes.

Each item within this budget meets the needs of my project by providing hands-on activities that will challenge my student's creative thinking abilities and keep them engaged within my classroom.
