Goal

At Madeira Beach Fundamental we are expanding the elective options to our students and will be offering a beginner woodworking class. The goal of the class is simple. Be Safe, Have Fun, Build Something

What will be done with my students

This beginner woodworking class will introduce to students basic woodworking skills. These skill will include measuring, cutting, planning, drilling, and assembling various projects.

The projects will be some individual projects the kids can take home like a toolbox. and some group projects like picnic tables, porch swings, outdoor chairs and planter boxes.

Benefits to my students

Many kids do not have the opportunity to use tools and to make something out of wood. The benefit to the students is to expose all the kids to the use of various tools and to increase their confidence with making something.

Describe the Students

At Madeira Beach we have the full range of students in our school.

Budget Narrative

The money donated will be used for the kids. I will purchase the materials necessary for the projects that are planned and the kids will work on them. I work to stretch the money that is donated to get the most supplies and materials I can for the kids.
