The goal is to give students the opportunity to grow their creative and critical thinking skills through STEM challenges.
Student Learning Goal: I can use the Engineering Design Process to solve a real-world problem.
This grant will allow scholars in second through fifth grade the opportunity to work through the Engineering Design Process (ask, plan, create, reflect and share).
Students will benefit from the STEM district-developed curriculum by creating opportunities for scholars to become strong problem-solvers, work on teams, meet deadlines, use materials resourcefully, etc.
These scholars have been identified as high achieving in Math and/or ELA based on state and district data. They reflect the student body including students who are ESE, ESOL, etc.
All donations will be spent on materials the scholars will use to complete STEM challenges as teams.
