Goal

Our goal is to excite our students to become lifetime movers by providing a real-life experience as the culminating activity to our bowling unit.

What will be done with my students

The final step to any unit is to put to practice what you have learned. Students in grades 1-5 will travel by school bus to the bowling lanes. While bowling a full game, students will demonstrate etiquette, score keeping, rules and teamwork. As well as experience the joy of bowling.

Benefits to my students

This educational experience will help students link classroom lessons with real-world application. This event is a field trip and the funds granted will only be used for the travel portion of this event. This event will be the culminating activity to the students bowling unit. Bowling is a lifetime sport/activity that is inexpensive to play. It can be enjoyed by every economic, academic and ability level.

Describe the Students

There will be approximately 422 students, grades 1 – 5 participating. Our school is a CEP - Community Eligibility School with many students in the low economic range. Our school also services a variety of students with varying exceptionalities and disabilities.
