I want to help make learning about history fun and exciting to my students. I want to make the lessons that we learn in the classroom relevant to them so that they can grasp the information in a way that they can apply it both in school and in life.
Civic education empowers us to be well-informed, active citizens and gives us the opportunity to change the world around us. It is a vital part of any democracy, and equips ordinary people with knowledge about our democracy and our Constitution.
I want to deliver this lesson in ways that will engage all my students in their learning style. By engaging my students in their learning style, it will help them learn the material in a way that will foster a deeper knowledge and better performance on their tests.
My goal is to help my students become better citizens.

Goal

What will be done with my students

My goal is to create a contest that will allow my students to apply the knowledge that they have learned in the classroom which will help them get a deeper understanding of the material.

Benefits to my students

The benefit to my students will be higher grades and test scores including them becoming better and informed citizens. An effective civics education teaches students about their rights and ... to participate and to make the system work better for more people. ... should support students in learning to speak up and act to make a difference.

Describe the Students

My students are those who have been labeled at-risk- students, ESE, and struggling learners, but I will show that with hard work and believing in themself, anything is possible.

Budget Narrative

The items on the list are some of the ways that I plan on making learning fun inside my classroom. Through mock trials and civics club, I will allow my student the opportunity to bring learning to life by creating many hands-on activities.
