I am a 25 year veteran of the Financial Industry. I traded municipal bonds for most of my post collegiate life. Recently, I decided to give back some of my math knowledge in the classroom. There are tons of road blocks along this long and winding road, however most shocking to me at our Title 1 school, is the lack of WIFI for students once they go home. Many don't have data coverage on their phones.
I have been trying to figure out how to help them and thought about possibly purchasing 4 mobile hot spots to loan to students.

Goal

I am a 25 year veteran of the Financial Industry. I traded municipal bonds for most of my post collegiate life. Recently, I decided to give back some of my math knowledge in the classroom. There are tons of road blocks along this long and winding road, however most shocking to me at our Title 1 school, is the lack of WIFI for students once they go home. Many don't have data coverage on their phones.
I have been trying to figure out how to help them and thought about possibly purchasing 4 mobile hot spots to loan to students.

What will be done with my students

This would allow students a better opportunity to complete work at home and upload those documents to the online platform. Also, this would allow students quarantined at home an opportunity to log onto their instruction.

Benefits to my students

This is something most of us take for granted. I have one student that walks approximately 1/2 mile to a public park in order to use their wifi signal. This was heartbreaking as he is unable to properly get his assignments in. Recently he was quarantined with no access to the online class because he was unable to get to the park. This is a bright student, I hate to see this as in impediment for his success.

Describe the Students

My students are true TITLE 1 students, many eat breakfast and lunch at school. Many take the bus to school. If they miss the bus, they often do not get to school. Their communities are being hit hardest by COVID because their families can't afford to take off of work when there is someone around them sick.

Budget Narrative

I would hope for some assistance from a carrier in order to use these devices in an efficient and cost effective way
