As a hockey fan, I would love to be able to introduce the sport to my students with special needs. I have 4 classes of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Regular hockey equipment is not safe for them and is not the right size for our smaller students. This adaptive hockey equipment will allow my students to play the game and play it safely.

Goal

As a hockey fan, I would love to be able to introduce the sport to my students with special needs. I have 4 classes of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Regular hockey equipment is not safe for them and is not the right size for our smaller students. This adaptive hockey equipment will allow my students to play the game and play it safely.

What will be done with my students

My students will receive many lessons throughout the school year with this equipment and will hopefully learn life-long skills related to hockey.

Benefits to my students

Increase student knowledge and/or academic performance.
Deliver instruction in a way that will engage my students.
Have fun!

Describe the Students

This equipment will be used primarily for my students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, but we will also be able to use it with any of our students when we have to be inside on rainy days.
