Goal

Increase student academic performance;
Deliver instruction in a way that should engage today's student.

What will be done with my students

I've been using NPS - Non-Permanent Surfaces for the kids to write on to show their thinking and work collaboratively with groups. Because of the non-permanent nature we go through a lot of dry erase markers.

Benefits to my students

NPS allow the kids to work collaboratively. It also allows them to freely write down thoughts and ideas because it's non-permanent. They can erase or start over on a new area of the surface. The kids are much more willing to make mistakes.

Describe the Students

My students are 6th graders taking an accelerated math class. They range from level 2 to level 5 so there are a variety of performers including ESE and gifted.
