Goal

Increase SSA proficiency from 15% to 35% by improving science engagement and knowledge of third, fourth and fifth grade standards.  

 

What will be done with my students

Student centered learning utilizing previously purchased resources such as JJ's Science Bootcamp, Lakeshore Learning Activity Bins, Science Jeopardy, KaHoot, Quizlet and other resources scholars enjoy that focus on third, fourth and fifth grade standards.

Provide positive reinforcements such as prizes, field trips, certificates and verbal recognition.

Analyzing and tracking data with scholars and reteaching particular standards as needed. Scholars will be able to update their data folder and understand areas needing improvement as well as, strategies that can be used to improve.

Celebrating success at the end of science units with a unit theme celebration.

Increased knowledge of third, fourth and fifth grade science standards.
Increased engagement and morale.
Increased awareness of their progress and strategies that can be used to improved.
Increased small group or/individual instruction based on need.
Increased SSA scores.
