Goal

To start 2 competitive robotics teams through First Lego League.

What will be done with my students

The students will be apart of a robotics club that will design, build, and program a LEGO® MINDSTORMS® robot. They will have the opportunity to compete on a themed table-top playing field. Students will develop critical-thinking and team-building skills, build STEM self-confidence, and gain valuable perspective on the importance of failure in the learning process.

Benefits to my students

Research challenges facing today’s scientists
Design, build, test and program robots using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® technology
Apply real-world math and science concepts
Learn critical thinking, team-building, and presentation skills
Participate in tournaments and celebrations

Describe the Students

The students in the club will be 4th and 5th grade students. The students will vary from year to year. All students will have the opportunity to apply to be apart of the club.
