Goal

My students need exposure to literature that will help them on their path to success. With the books I am requesting the students will be able to self-reflect while developing grit, perseverance, and creating a path towards future success.

What will be done with my students

The students will read the materials provided and interact with the material in order to fully develop their full potential. These books are designed to allow for great classroom discussion, and self-reflection by the students.

Benefits to my students

Ultimately the students will be able to gain knowledge over which future path best fits their needs, values, and goals.

Describe the Students

My students are college bound students who need guidance and support on their collegiate journey. Many of them are either first generation college students, or come from single parent homes. These kids can and will do it, with the support of AVID. Our class is designed to be that extra support as students move towards reaching their goals.

Budget Narrative

There are 5 different books that each require a class set of 30 books each. This will allow multiple classes to each read the books and learn the information.
