Goal

The goal of the Robotics competition team is to increase student achievement by engaging students in automation and robotics. The implementation of Robotics competition team at Azalea Middle School will increase student knowledge in both current and future roles for the use of automation and robotics while engaging them in real life, hands-on experiences by problem solving.

What will be done with my students

Students will be instructed on mechanisms, their movements, and how to put them together to solve a problem. Students will be programing their machines to do the actual work! At the end of the course the students will be required to build their very own assembly line. Student progress and achievement will be measured through formal and informal assessments.

Benefits to my students

This Robotics Competition team at Azalea Middle School will involve students in gaining the knowledge of automation and robotics. These hands-on experiences will increase student engagement and achievement levels in both reading and math. They will also work within a team, which will increase their communication and leadership skills.

Describe the Students
