We are updating and expanding our 3D printing and rapid prototyping lab. The six new printers will replace our two lonely machines which have come to the end of their functional lifespan. By upgrading, we are shortening the line for students to print their projects while reducing overall printing times in the classroom.

Goal

We are updating and expanding our 3D printing and rapid prototyping lab. The six new printers will replace our two lonely machines which have come to the end of their functional lifespan. By upgrading, we are shortening the line for students to print their projects while reducing overall printing times in the classroom.

What will be done with my students

Students will be able to create and rapid prototype their designs in less time with greater precision and accuracy. They will be trained on setup, repair, and functional procedures.

Benefits to my students

Rapid prototyping is a growing facet which benefits multiple disciplines from 3D design, to CAD, and to the medical industry. The new machines will increase the production process. The ability to quickly test and retest a design means students can spend more time innovating and less time waiting.

Describe the Students

My students are self-motivated and career driven.
