Goal

The goal in our classroom is for students to be successful in obtaining their GED s. Your generous donation will be used to pay for 30 individual GED tests. With our encouragement and instruction and your financial assistance, we hope to not only help them complete their education, but build their confidence as they embark on their journey to higher education and better jobs.

What will be done with my students

In order for students to qualify for the funding, they will have to show that they are test ready through their work and assignments. Students will have to complete their prescriptions in a timely matter and show competencies in all 4 GED test subject areas. Once this is done, we will offer qualifying students a voucher funded through your program.

Benefits to my students

Your grant will lift some of the financial hardship that many of our already overburdened students have to endure in order to pay for the new test. The $32 fee times 4 tests may seem insignificant to a financially secure family but for our students, this cost can be insurmountable.

Describe the Students

Our students are adult learners between the ages of 16 and 65. Many of whom had to make difficult decisions choosing between completing high school and life changing circumstances. These pupils are often unemployed, unskilled, single parents who can't take on the extra expense of the GED exams which is a total of $128.00 ($32 for each of the 4 tests).

The funds will cover GED subject tests @ the cost of $32 a piece for qualifying students who are test ready.
