Goal

The goal of this grant is to provide high-quality communication between the teacher and students to collaborate, communicate and present new and critical content to instruction in a clear and precise manner.

What will be done with my students

Using a hands free, state-of-the-art headset with bluetooth capabilities will be ideal to communicate effectively in my classroom (which is one of the largest classrooms in Tarpon Fundamental.
Students with hearing disabilities and English Language Learners will benefit exponentially by being able to hear my voice from anywhere in the classroom.
Teaching Orff instruments (the xylophones and glockenspiels) requires an enhanced listening skills that can be constructed if students can hear my voice through this enhanced hands free headset with bluetooth technology.
Past headsets have poor feedback, and frequent feedback issues that require constant adjusting.
This headset will provide hours of non-stop communication with all of my grades Kindergarten through Grades 5.

Benefits to my students

English as a Second Language (ESOL) Students, English Language Learners and students with Hearing Limitations will benefit greatly as well as the rest of the students I teach.
The level of student engagement will increase as students will be able to hear my instructions for the very first time as opposed to my having to repeat instructions for those students far away in the third or fourth row on the risers or those who can not hear me at all.
