Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 20

This year, we've had at least 5 different performances off-campus, and the protection provided by the cases has been invaluable! We've been able to load much more quickly and efficiently, and students understand the value of taking time to take care of things that are important to them, as well as specifically how to better care for the instruments. We even played at the May Day Race again this year, and the cases were quite useful for us!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

To acquire cases to protect our instruments as we bring our music into the community.

What will be done with my students

Students will learn about proper instrument care and maintenance and will be able to transport the instruments to performances more safely.

Benefits to my students

Instruments will be protected as we travel and students will be able to transport them more easily from place to place. This will also allow us to accept more performance requests.

Describe the Students

Students come from a variety of backgrounds that reflect the diversity of our school, including students in traditional classes as well as in the Center for Advanced Technology.

Budget Narrative

Each case is approximately $100, though the vendor may be willing to be flexible to allow us to purchase more.
