Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 19

Through the Mary Alice Farrar grant I was able to purchase extremely engaging chapter books.  My students were able to choose from multiple topics that were engaging to them.  My classroom library was extremely outdated and did not have books that interested my students to read independently.  Through the grant I have seen an engagement in students independent reading and stamina because they are reading books they enjoy!  This ultimately has had a positive impact on their test scores and grades.  Thank you so much for impacting my classroom in such a  positive way!

Original Grant Overview

Goal

To promote a positive and engaging classroom culture and environment where students and teachers have the supplies needed to investigate, explore, discover, and create.

What will be done with my students

Students will be able to use supplies to create, build, and challenge themselves within engaging and rigorous lessons while promoting a healthy and safe classroom culture.

Benefits to my students
