Impact to My Classroom

# of Students Impacted: 17

The OK Go! Azalea's Young Innovators are so fortunate for the grant.  When I wrote the grant request I was hoping that my first graders would receive supplemental activities that they can use in class and at home to reinforce the love of leaning and to generate interest in participating in the STEM academy at Azalea in 2nd grade.  Students in first grade are so inquisitive and imaginative.  Children in this age range are so creative and I want to show them that STEM can be found all around.  Research shows that students who engage in hands on exploration are likley to perform better than just learning from lectures and text books.  These Young Innovators are going to utilize these activities and then take them home for extended use and to share their knowledge and passion with family and friends.  More importantly for my babies who may not otherwise afford to have this opportunity this grant is a truly blessing that no one can take from them.  You made this possible.

We are ever grateful!

Thanks Ms. Rushing and her Young Innovators!
