Goal

The goal is to provide benefits to students that will increase graduation rate, improve attendance, and increase positive behaviors, and promote post-secondary success. 

 

What will be done with my students

Students will be matched with mentors from the school, community, parents, and stakeholders. They will meet bi-weekly as a 1:5 ratio. During their session they will discuss goal setting, academics, leadership, community service, student interests, and school support. 

 

Benefits to my students

Improved behaviors
Decrease dropout rate
Increase graduation
Increase number of students attending college or post secondary education
Academic performance on standardized test and academic support. 

 

Describe the Students

At-Risk male students, particularly, African American students who are in need of mentor, guidance, support and leadership skills
