Goal

Enough construction paper for the year and enough coloring utensils to last a couple years (I hope).

What will be done with my students

Students will learn to write musical notation from a young age in order to channel their musical creativity into their own compositions.

Benefits to my students

National and State standards dictate that children should be able to dictate musical pitches and rhythm. On top of that, my students will have the freedom to begin composing their own music and expressing their own artistic feelings about the music we study.

Describe the Students

I have a mixture of high and low performers with quite a few ESE students who function best with creative outlets.

Budget Narrative

I see 88 students in this classroom and would love to have my students writing and drawing their own music but I currently don't have any surfaces to compose on. I want to purchase enough paper to laminate some and keep others for creative purposes, and I want to purchase enough crayons and markers for students to use on this paper.
