Goal

"HSN"
I would like to enhance our Pre-K students' learning by offering educational learning toys for them to learn, discover and play with.

What will be done with my students

My students as well as the children in the VPK class next door will access these toys during our table toys center. We often team-teach and share our supplies. During this time children have the opportunity to choose a toy, share with their peers, use their communication skills, learn to play with others and clean up. The toys would be used to reinforce the learning skill that have been taught, whether it were shapes, or colors, matching. These children need the reinforcement that educational toys provide. These toys would enhance the learning of our students.

Benefits to my students

These toys would be available to my students and the students in the VPK class during table toys activities. They would also help when teaching sorting, colors and shapes. I often make my own educational learning tools, but with so many children they are often ripped or destroyed, and do not last long. These toys would help reinforce learning among children with learning disabilities,

Describe the Students

My students are a blended class of 14, 3/4 year olds. I have general education children, but also ESE children. The needs vary from Autism, Language Impaired, Developmentally Delayed, Non-Verbal children, and children who lack social skills. The VPK class is also a blended class of 14, 4/5 year old children with the similar disabilities.

Budget Narrative

Thank you for this opportunity. This grant will help motivate both classes learning opportunities. The toys will be used to better the education of these students.
