Goal

To engage my students in the learning process and teach them to think like scientists and engineers.

What will be done with my students

Children will be introduced to the STEM design process as a way to solve problems and will build, plan, and then improve their designs until they are successful.

Benefits to my students

My students will learn to think like scientists and will develop a growth mind-set which will allow them to learn from their mistakes and focus their learning towards an understanding of STEM concepts.

Describe the Students

My classroom is made up of 18 eager and ready-to-learn children. I have ESE students, general education students, and Gifted Students.

Budget Narrative

The $149 STEM Challenge Kit (plus $26 shipping) comes packed with everything I will need to work through 3 exciting challenges…plus a detailed lesson plan that makes it easy to focus students' learning & explain the STEM concepts behind each challenge. The resources purchased will be able to be used year after year in my Kindergarten Classroom.
